2023 Ford Bronco

Overview

Since announcing the return of this American favorite a few years ago, enthusiasts everywhere have patiently waited to see what the new iteration would be like. And, as most will tell you, they’re not disappointed.

This rough and rugged ride features everything an off-road fan wants to see in a vehicle including a sturdy suspension, durable interior, and up to 200 different accessory features that allow you to pick and choose which ones you like best.

From the outside, the 2023 Ford Bronco seems as though it would be another competitor to the Jeep family of vehicles. But, as it turns out, this new model is so much more than that and could easily be one of the most exciting things to hit the market in years. Ford promised to impress and they’ve certainly done that by redoing an old classic into a modern must-have.

The Perfect Ride For...

It goes without saying that the 2023 Ford Bronco is the perfect ride for anyone who owned one in the past and has a bit of a yearning for simpler times. But it is also a great choice for those who weren’t even alive then, but want the ruggedness of an off-road vehicle while still having a great daily driver for commuting on city streets.

Both a two-door and a four-door model are available, making it easy to bring along passengers when necessary. But, to really enjoy everything the 2023 Ford Bronco has to offer, you have to be an outdoors enthusiast. This vehicle isn’t designed to sit inside a garage or only stay on the asphalt. Rather, it is designed for mud, rocks, and trails while still looking great on any type of land.

Drive and Handling

Where the 2023 Ford Bronco really shines is with drive and handling. An independent front end and a semi-active disconnecting front sway bar provide a smooth ride no matter where you are.

The GOAT trail management system, which stands for Goes Over Any Terrain, is one feature that is new to the 2023 Ford Bronco. If you enjoy getting off the pavement, this is definitely something you want to consider. Best of all, it is good to tow up to 3,500 pounds, which is great for a small tent trailer or even a boat.

And, just like the many optional features available, there is a whole list of engine configurations. The basic is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder, but Ford plans to introduce a V-6 and a ton of other configurations later in the year.

Key Features

Thanks to the genius plans of the team at Ford, it is almost impossible to list all 200 different features and options available on the 2023 Ford Bronco. However, a few of consumers’ most favorite include the easily removable doors with storage cases, the slide-out tailgate, and a total of six trim levels including the Black Diamond and Wildtrak. And, we would be remiss not to mention the Sasquatch package designed for ultimate offroading.

Of course, plenty of people also love the interior, which is safe to rinse out with a garden hose for optimum low-key maintenance. Plus, the removable top is ideal for shedding on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

When it comes to tech, there really isn’t much here to report on. The Ford Bronco is meant for getting outdoors and not for entertaining the whole family. But there is a basic touch screen and a wicked onboard navigation system that can help track where you are even when you don’t have a cell signal.

Alternative Options

If you don't need the powerful off-road capability of the Ford Bronco but you still want a capable SUV, the Ford Explorer is an amazing option. For those who want off-road capability but need the convenience of a truck bed, take a look at the mid-sized Ford Ranger.
