The all-new 2016 Honda Pilot sets a new standard for premium SUVs with new performance and advanced technology in an elegant, powerful package. More cargo space and interior room are complemented with new features such as a premium interior and LED projector headlights.
PERFORMANCE
Honda's new Earth Dreams Technology™ 3.5-liter direct-injection i-VTEC® V-6 engine is featured in the new 2016 Honda Pilot. The efficient two-stage Variable Cylinder Management™ switches the engine between six-cylinder and three-cylinder modes which gives of power when needed for improved fuel efficiency.
Also available on the 2016 Honda Pilot is Idle Stop technology. This will shut down the engine with the vehicle is at a complete stop. When the driver lifts their foot off the brake pedal, the engine will restart instantly with ease.
The Pilot comes equipped with the choice of two new transmissions, A six-speed automatic transmission which is standard or an all-new nine-speed automatic transmission that are both responsive and fuel-efficient in their performance. The new Pilot will be available in Front-Wheel Drive and a brand new All-Wheel Drive with a terrain management system that allows the driver to select settings which optimizes traction for various weather and road conditions.
PREMIUM FEATURES
Some of the new features of the 2016 Pilot include Optional LED projector headlights with auto high beam technology and available signature LED daytime running lights and taillights, 20-inch wheels available and the first-ever panoramic roof available for the Pilot.
With available heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats, the Pilot's third-row entry and exit is made even easier. With the push of a button, an available one-touch walk-in second-row seat slides and tilts to its most forward position. And for the first time, upper trim levels will have two second-row captain's chairs available.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
With a center console large enough to store tablets and other portable devices, the 2016 Pilot will offer up to five USB ports available. Four of which can charge devices up to 2.5-amps while in use. Additional ports and plugs include an auxiliary jack, an HDMI port, two headphone jacks, two 12-volt power outlets and a 115-volt outlet.
The Pilot comes with an 8-inch touchscreen interface powered by a new Android-based operating system and processor. This includes an available all-new embedded Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation Systemâ„¢. The new navigation system features improved graphics and new features that include 3D renderings of terrain, buildings and road signs, improved lane guidance, live search function, 911 emergency services and more. The Display Audio system enables simplified smartphone connectivity making for easier access to all the features and connectivity options of the HondaLinkâ„¢ connected-car system.
Honda's DVD Rear Entertainment System also plays Blu-Ray and DVDs. Another great way to keep the young passengers happy and occupied. Put in their favorite movie or show and they will glow in the splendor of the 9-inch screen. SiriusXM® Radio is available with subscription with more than 165 channels to choose from.

The Pilot comes equipped with Honda's most inclusive set of advanced safety features ever which includes the available Honda Sensingâ„¢ suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and road-departure mitigation.
Honda LaneWatchâ„¢ system gives a wider perspective of the passenger-side roadway in the i-MID when the right-turn signal is engaged or when the LaneWatch button is pressed. The display can show cars from one or two lanes to the right and cars up to 50 yards behind the vehicle. Honda LaneWatchâ„¢ can be used independently of the turn signal, show a double screen which includes navigation direction information if or when equipped.
