Toyota Mirai Exceeds 300 Mile Driving Range
The world’s first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, the Toyota Mirai, just got even more impressive. The zero emission electric vehicle now offers an EPA-estimated 67 MPGe* combined fuel efficiency, and an EPA-estimated driving range of 312 miles on a single fill. The Mirai is expected to arrive in California dealerships this fall, and will be the only vehicle of its kind to top the 300 mile range.
The four-door, mid-size sedan offers the same performance levels of gasoline engines, but does not use a single drop of gasoline. Instead, the Mirai is built to create electricity on demand using hydrogen, oxygen, and a fuel cell, with its only emission being water vapor.
Not only can Mirai owners feel good about reducing their carbon footprint, they can also enjoy the comprehensive ownership package offered by Toyota. Mirai drivers will receive a range of world-class services including: three years of complimentary fuel**; three years complimentary Safety Connect and Entune, including hydrogen station finder app; three years of 24/7 customer support; Mirai Complimentary Rental Experience for seven days per year for three years***; ToyotaCare+; and an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty++.
Initial orders for the Mirai are limited to California residents, however Toyota says it's considering opening this up to other regions in the future.
