Teen Driving Tops Parents' Worries: Chevrolet Can Help

10 Chevy models now come with Teen Driver, a unique driving mode that helps promote safe driving

Each month, thousands upon thousands of US teens become eligible for their restricted driver's licenses. Most are very understandably excited by this new development, while their parents (also understandably) are rather worried by it. So much so, in fact, that a Harris Poll survey commissioned by Chevrolet shows that parents of teens are more worried by their teens driving than any other area of parental stress, including sex, drugs, and academic performance.

Many new Chevrolet models already come with safety features like Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and more, but what makes Teen Driver so special is that it automatically enables all available active safety features on a Chevy model and prevents them from being disabled. Why is that a good thing? Well...just take a look at the video below.

In addition to automatically enabling safety features, Teen Driver also activates an in-vehicle "report card" which keeps track of things like distance driven, maximum speed reached, overspeed warnings issued, and more to give parents a better understanding of how their teens are driving.
