This new generation is bigger, stronger, and lighter than any previous generation, thanks to advances in automotive performance technology and lighter high-strength materials. When designing this Silverado, Chevrolet engineers had one focus in mind in every thought they had from drawing table to the assembly line: you. The light but efficient 2.7-liter turbocharged engine with Active Fuel Management. This cutting-edge powerhouse puts out plenty of push for its size: 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. It also features new technology to enhance fuel efficiency, like an eight-speed automatic transmission and auto start/stop, which can power down the engine when at a stop and automatically start back up when you hit the gas, saving you noticeably at the pump.

The legendary Duramax® turbo-diesel makes its case in the form of a 3.0-liter engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also features the fuel-saving auto start/stop technology and enhanced fuel efficiency.

Up next, the 4.3-liter V6 features Active Fuel Management and a six-speed transmission, producing 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque.

The beefy 5.3-liter V8 goes even further with Dynamic Fuel Management, auto stop/start tech, and an 8-speed transmission, netting an impressive 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

Finally, the heavy-weight in the family comes in the form of a 6.2-liter V8. Also featuring Dynamic Fuel Management and auto start/stop, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, this monster intimidates any challenge with 420 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. All that power, and you’ll look for mountains to climb and loads to haul.

Performance Tech

All these powertrains benefit with the addition of the available Drive Mode Selector. With the turn of a dial, you can instantly modify multiple performance characteristics to match the demands of the road. No matter what kind of driving you’re doing, there’s a Drive Mode that can tackle the challenge, including Tour, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, Terrain, and Snow/Ice.

The all-new Silverado knows you’ll put all that power to good use, whether you’re hauling gear in the bed or towing it in a trailer. The bed itself is lighter, longer, and stronger than previous years, offering a dozen tie-downs and best-in-class cargo box volume (as much as 20% more than the competition). Plus, you can add the industry-first Power Up/Down tailgate, LED lighting in the bed, and a 120-volt outlet in the tailgate to make this the most functional bed of any pickup on the road.

If you’re in the business of towing your cargo, you’re going to appreciate the most cutting-edge trailering system ever in the all-new Silverado. Getting started, you’ll never miss a step with the Pre-departure Checklist displayed on the LCD touchscreen and automated trailer light test. Once you’re underway, you’ll be able to monitor your trailer like never before, thanks to a network of external cameras and visual guides. You’ll also appreciate other thoughtful features in the trailering system, including an electric parking brake hookup, trailer tire pressure and temperature monitor, and Trailer Theft Alert, as well as connected trailering features through the myChevrolet mobile app.
