Looking Ahead: What’s Coming from Porsche in 2022

by Client

It’s hard to believe that 2021 is almost gone. As a brand that’s always looking to the future, Porsche has some big plans for what the next year has in stock. From redesigns to amazing news, there are so many great things to be excited about from Porsche in 2022.

Porsche Taycan GTS Sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo Debut

A new EV model is prowling the streets. The popular Taycan gets two new variants for 2022. Both models will share a powerplant–the 590 horsepower beast–and a two-speed transmission. With fast charging speeds and high-performance batteries, both models are perfect for daily driving. That is: if you can handle all 590 horsepower every single day. You'll find many similarities inside with any other Taycan, which is a simple way of saying these new models are remarkable. The GTS Sport Turismo is especially stunning from the outside as well, with a sport wagon silhouette that feels fresh and powerful.

718 Cayman GT4 RS

For the purists, the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS should satisfy. This new model was inspired by racing and shares an engine with the 911 GT3 Cup car, making it a true racecar at heart. With 493 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, it's hard not to smile behind the wheel as the flat-six engine screams. Of course, it looks the part too. Designed with airflow in mind, the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS has larger air intakes and even has new ones where small quarter windows are in the 718 Cayman. Rocketing from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS is a force to be reckoned with.

Updates for the Cayenne & Macan

For Porsche drivers who appreciate a gentle balance of performance and practicality, both the Cayenne and the Macan have received mild updates for 2022. For the Cayenne, a facelift is the most noticeable. The updates give it a fresh look. Inside some minor tweaks have also been made to improve the driver and passenger experience. Updates to the Macan are more pronounced with dramatic changes to the exterior. Both the Macan S and GTS will get a power bump for the new year and inside, a new center console is more driver-focused.
