At the heart of the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid’s powertrain is a hyper-efficient 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder. The engine can generate electricity or, under certain conditions, act as a direct power source. Electromotive power comes courtesy of a 181-horsepower electric motor that draws power from both the gas engine and a 17-kWh battery pack with a recharge time of just 2.5 hours at 240 volts.
5) Two premium trims
