Saddle Up

The Ford Mustang helped create a sub-segment of muscle cars called “Pony Cars” in its honor, and over 50 years later it's still crushing rivals like the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. Ford’s performance icon was completely redesigned for 2015, but it’s been evolving ever since, gaining new features, a modern facelift, and even a new special edition. Now, the 2019 Mustang truly is the definitive version of an American classic.

Powertrains and Performance

Whether you’re looking to do burnouts or tackle your favorite backroad using as little fuel as possible, the 2019 Ford Mustang has you covered with two powerful engine options.

The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine offers an impressive combination of performance and fuel economy. This engine produces 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque and gets 25 combined mpg in the fastback and 23 combined mpg in the convertible.*

The Mustang GT stays true to this car’s muscle car roots with Ford’s popular 5.0-liter V8. This engine chucks out 460 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque—and makes a great sound while doing it. The GT’s Track Apps suite also includes features like launch control, an acceleration timer, and line lock, which electronically locks the front brakes for easy yet epic burnouts. The V8 gets an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined in the fastback and 24 combined mpg in the convertible.*

For 2019, the Mustang BULLITT has been resurrected. This special edition is the cornerstone of Mustang performance for the year, just like it was the first time it hit the streets in 1968. Only available with the 5.0-liter V8 mated to the 6-speed manual with Rev Matching, it churns out an impressive 480 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque with an EPA-estimated combined 18 mpg.*

Features and Trims

The 2019 Ford Mustang is available as a two-door, four-seat fastback or convertible. Pricing starts at $26,120.**

Standard equipment includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Intelligent Access with push-button start, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, SYNC® voice control, LED lighting, and 17-inch alloy wheels, among other features. Electronic line-lock and launch control are also included on the manual transmission-equipped models.

There are also Performance packages for the EcoBoost and GT models, which include features like a strut tower brace, upgraded suspension, bigger brakes, wheel options, and sportier tires. Voice-activated navigation and a B&O PLAY Premium Audio System are also available. MyMode is included when the 12-inch LCD digital instrument cluster is selected, so that the Mustang remembers driver settings, including steering settings and exhaust sound.

Design

The 2019 Ford Mustang's design maintains enough retro elements to make this car instantly recognizable as a Mustang, but it also marks an impressive new chapter in its hallowed history. It’s easy to imagine this design becoming as much of an icon as the classic ‘60s Mustangs that inspired it.

The headlights wrap around into the front fenders while the fascia retains the gaping maw/trapezoidal grille of its forbearers. The long and distinct hood gives the new Mustang a truly imposing look.

On the inside, the Mustang continues to ooze cool with features like a rear-view camera and perfectly-sized three-spoke steering wheel. The 2019 Mustang also features the latest version of the SYNC® infotainment system, which is more responsive and intuitive than ever.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the 2019 Ford Mustang includes anti-lock brakes, stability and traction controls, and a full array of airbags. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, and a Reverse Sensing System.

The Ford Safe and Smart Systemcan add a whole new level of safety to your driving experience with features like Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keeping System, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning with brake support, and more.
