The F-series has been the best-selling truck in America for almost forty years but Ford always believes there’s room for improvement, and we at Mills Ford Chrysler are excited to show you the upgrades in the Super Duty lineup.

The 2017 Ford Super Duty trucks come in above the F-150 with higher towing capacities and more heavy duty features that are perfect for getting work done.

To make quick work of large tasks, the new Super Duty lineup is powered by an available 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that produces 440 horsepower and 925 lb.-ft. of torque, which is up from 860 lb.-ft. in the previous model. A gas-powered 6.2-liter V8 is also available, again paired with a six-speed automatic, which will generate 385 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque, increasing from the previous model’s 405 lb.-ft.

All of that power is perfect for occasions when you need to get the most out of your vehicle’s towing capacity. The F-450 can tow 32,500 pounds on a gooseneck trailer or 21,000 pounds in a traditional towing arrangement and has a maximum payload of 7,620 pounds, an increase all around from the outgoing model.

Ford not only increased the Super Duty’s abilities, but yours as well. Drivers will benefit from blind spot monitoring that can see the entire length of the trailer, so you know what’s going on around you at all times. Backup assistance is also available, which overlays a helpful graphic on the rear camera display, allowing you to maneuver your trailer perfectly into a parking space or loading dock. Go too far one way or another, and the system’s jack-knife warning system alerts you to re-correct.

Adaptive cruise control is another safety feature that helps you control whatever you may be towing by applying the brakes to both your vehicle and trailer, keeping you at a safe distance from traffic up ahead. And with its locking center differential, the truck easily moves through rough terrain, even with one wheel off the ground, making it more than capable of travelling over boulders, logs, streams, and almost any other terrain you can think of.

While you may be roughing it on the outside, you’ll only experience comfort inside. The quiet cabin includes a whopping ten cup holders, heated and cooled front seats, a dual glove box, plenty of storage areas, and available Sync® 3 technology with Apple CarPlay™ and Android™ Auto.

The Ford F-Series Super Duty has a starting MSRP of $32,535,* ranging upwards until you reach the top of the line with the F-450 Platinum, ringing in at $77,125. Such a vast price spread means that you have plenty of room to find your perfect work truck.
