Ford has outdone themselves with the 2017 Ford F-150, and Mills Ford Chrysler couldn’t be more excited to learn about the advancements.

Originally expected to kick up some dust with 365 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque, those initial estimates were too low. According to the official Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the new 3.5-liter EcoBoost is now certified at 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

The current F-150 model sports 365 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, so the new 2017 model adds 10 horses and 50 lb.-ft. And that additional 50 lb.-ft. is also how much more torque this model produces over the Ram.

A 10-speed automatic transmission is being paired with the powertrain, so be on the lookout for improved fuel economy numbers coming soon.
