There really is almost something for everybody in the Willmar area when it comes to upcoming events in March, April and May.

You can choose from murder mystery dinners, support groups, music, celebrations, racing, photography, book club/reading groups, legal advice, photography, crafts…and the list goes on! Any of these catch your eye?

Don’t fret if you miss a date as some events are reoccurring weekly or monthly.

Here’s a sampling of some events: 

Fun and suspense are in order at Murder Mystery Dinners, 8 to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays at the Spicer Castle Inn and Restaurant. You and your guests can participate in the mysteries, or help point to others. Cost: $54.95 for five-course dinner and participation in the murder mystery. Call 320-796-5870.    

KRA Speedway Stock Car Races are Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm at the Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds in Willmar. Cost: $11 adults; 12 and younger are free with paid adult. The well-known dirt track is 3/8 mile semi-banked.

Little Crow Photography Club meets Monday, Feb. 27at 7 pm at the Kandiyohi County Historical Society in Willmar. Regular meetings are the fourth Monday of the month. Open to photographers of all skill levels. There are educational programs, contests and sharing of photo techniques. Membership fee is $12 per year. Call 218-443-0427. 

Veterans On The Home Front Support Group meets March 2 (first Thursday of the month) at 7 pm at the Willmar VFW Club. Sessions cover topics and experiences that only vets understand such as employment, finances, stress, and depression. Call 612-280-6211 or 522-2545 for more information. 

Friday Night Soup and Live Music, Friday, March 3, 5 to 8 pm, Glacial Ridge Winery, Highway 23, Spicer. Free. 

Willmar Business Day at the Capitol, 7:30 am to 5:45 pm, board bus at Chamber office, 2104 Highway 12 East. Cost: $75, includes transportation, breakfast, lunch, meeting materials. Activities include tour of newly- renovated state Capitol and meet with local-area legislators. Call 320-235-0300.

Craft Circle, Wednesday, March 22 (fourth Wednesday of the month) 3-5 pm, Willmar Public Library, 410 Fifth St. NW. Enjoy knitting or crocheting?  Just getting started?  Here’s where you can learn and do more. 

Novels at Night, Tuesday, April 11, (second Tuesday of the month) at 7 pm, Willmar Public Library. Here’s a new group for fiction lovers to discuss their latest books.
