Overview

With seven different trims available (each with increasing levels of awesomeness), Toyota has made the 2020 Sienna for everyone. This year’s Sienna sets the standard for the modern minivan. It houses the latest tech in comfort and safety, plus it has all the performance needed to take care of the entire team, whether it’s the office or the family.

The Perfect Ride for…

Drivers who need to move the whole crew. Not only does the 2020 Sienna offer tons of space and comfort, it’s also a platform for cutting-edge safety technology from nose to tail. Three rows of seating allow up to eight passengers to sit comfortably, each enjoying over 40 inches of legroom. Each row can enjoy separate automatic climate control, USB ports, individual sunshades, cup holders, and individual overhead lighting. And the leader of the pack can ride easy knowing that everyone is protected with up to eight separate airbags strategically placed throughout the cabin, as well as a suite of cameras and laser-powered safety tech on the lookout for potential hazards outside the vehicle.

Drive & Handling

The 2020 Toyota Sienna includes an 8-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). That “intelligence” provides the brains behind the brawn, intelligently adapting the transmission to reduce fuel costs, achieving an emission rating of Ultra Low Emission Vehicle III with an EPA-estimated FWD 19/27 city/hwy mpg.* The Sienna’s 3.5-liter V6 Engine with Dual VVT-I produces 296 hp and 263 lb-ft of torque, which means the power is there when you need it on the interstate or climbing hills, even with every seat full.

Key Features

Laser-guided safety

Toyota knows you buy a minivan to move people, so the 2020 Sienna comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™, a suite of active safety technology that protects your most precious cargo. The suite includes features such as Lane Departure Alert, which can identify lane markers on the road and alert the driver if the vehicle begins to drift off course; full-speed range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which can detect vehicles ahead and adjust cruise control speed to maintain distance and even stop the vehicle to avoid collisions; the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which can detect other cars and people in the road ahead and help mitigate or avoid potential collisions using additional stopping power from Brake Assist; and Automatic High Beams that can detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles to automatically toggle between high and low beams accordingly.

Road trips evolved

The 2020 Sienna’s technology package also makes road trips easier than ever. The new Entune™ 3.0 infotainment system features a standard high-resolution 7-inch touch-screen display within a short arm’s reach from either of the front seats. Entune™ includes access to apps available on every Sienna, including Pandora®, OpenTable®, and Yelp®, plus other helpful services like real-time traffic updates. Communicating with passengers throughout Sienna’s cavernous cabin is no challenge with Driver Easy Speak, a built-in intercom system that enables passengers in the front seats to speak into a microphone and be heard through speakers all the way in the back row. Finally, passengers can enjoy reliable connections with five USB ports spread across all three rows of seating and the available Verizon Wi-Fi Connect, which can support simultaneous access for up to five devices.

360-degree security

Parking the 2020 Sienna is a breeze thanks to the latest in camera technology surrounding the vehicle's exterior. All Sienna models come standard with a high-definition, full-color backup camera that automatically activates when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. For additional awareness, the available Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan uses front-, side-, and rear-mounted optics to create a 360-degree panoramic overhead view so drivers can see every inch of their surroundings when maneuvering into a parking spot.

Alternative Options

Maybe you don’t need to fit eight passengers, but you do want all the same high-tech comfort and safety features. If that sounds like you, the Toyota Camry has everything you need. On the other hand, if you have mountains to climb, the Toyota Tundra is prepared to take on the challenge.
