The Machine Inside: Biomechanics

Where: Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum

Ever wanted to know why cheetahs run so fast, or why spider webs are so perfectly shaped? You'll get these questions answered, and more when you visit this exhibit now through September. Find out why every living thing is a machine built to survive, and explore the ways humans have used the power of nature to inspire man-made machines.

This event runs from now until September 4 in the Castle Memorial Building. Ticket prices vary; see website for details.

Kaleo

Where: The Republik

If you enjoy alternative music, you'll love this up-and-coming band from Iceland. The fact that their name is Hawai'ian just makes them all the cooler! The band will be playing at 8 PM on April 28, so don't miss out.

Tickets start at $29.50 and can be purchased online here.

SPAM JAM®

Where: Kalakaua Avenue

The iconic SPAM JAM® is back for its 15th year! This family-friendly street festival offers free entertainment, food and street vendors, and, of course, our beloved SPAM®. This year marks the food's 80th birthday, so show your Hawai'ian spirit and come out and enjoy!

Event goes from 4-10 PM.
