Driving matters to Mazda. It’s why our models deliver a unique experience whenever you’re behind the wheel. But driving is only one part of Mazda’s winning formula. Mazda believes your car should look exactly how it drives—stunning. So it’s no wonder then that Mazda recently received the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” prize for the all-new Mazda MX-5.

The “Best of the Best” prize is awarded to exceptionally ground-breaking designs across many industries. In fact, only 1.6 percent of all submissions received the distinction during this year’s Red Dot Award: Product Design competition.

The Red Dot product design jury is comprised of 38 international experts that evaluate entries based on a number of criteria, including the degree of design innovation, functionality, ergonomics, and ecological compatibility. Some 4,928 submissions from 56 countries were evaluated this year, with the winners earning the right to bear the Red Dot symbol.

The 2016 Mazda MX5-5 is a truly remarkable specimen. It sports sweeping lines, an aggressive front end, and a wide stance. Simply put, it’s the consummate sports car. While it carries a rich history of exceptional driving dynamics, the latest Mazda MX-5 is a unique combination of style and substance.

“The MX-5 has always been about creating smiles, and design is a key part of its success,” says Kevin Rice, Mazda Europe’s design director, who accepted the Red Dot trophy together with Vice President Communications Wojciech Halarewicz.

The 2016 Mazda MX-5 is the latest adaptation of the critically acclaimed KODO design language and we here at Cutter Automotive Galleries are completely smitten by its sharp looks. As with previous Mazda MX-5 models, the newest Mazda MX-5 continues the automaker's tradition of building cars that are as appealing to look at as they are to drive and own.

Of course, you’ll get a better of idea of what we mean by experiencing the all-new Mazda MX-5 yourself, so contact us today to schedule your test drive.
