Overview

Mercedes-Benz has taken its steadfast, sleek, and elegant E-class sedan and turned the top half into a carefree joyride with a touch of a button with the E-Class Cabriolet. Adorned with a beautifully constructed soft top that contains an insulating core, the E-Class Cabriolet transforms in under 20 seconds, folding its cap into its back pocket.

Widescreen views and illuminated dash vents, as well as beautiful wood, aluminum, and topstitched leather touches, enhance your drive in the E-Class Cabriolet with a myriad of combination choices to create a vehicle that is individually unique.

Mercedes-Benz has gone above and beyond to ensure your E-Class Cabriolet is useful even in chillier weather by adding heated seats and the brand's exclusive AIRSCARF® feature to softly blow warm air around your neck and shoulders. Plus, the unique AIRCAP® completes the hat-and-scarf combination with reduced air turbulence, using superior engineering to elevate the airflow and create a flow of warm air into the cabin.

Technology like Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are standard, as is wireless charging. Starting at $67,300 MSRP for the E 450, $69,800 for the E 450 4MATIC, and $80,350 MSRP for the AMG® E-Class Cabriolet,* the newest member of the E-class family is modeled upon the E-class Coupe, including the capable engine and sporty handling.

The Perfect Ride for…

The buyer looking for the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan with a convertible spirit. Not only does it seat four adult passengers comfortably, it includes pop-up roll bars, which deploy in a fraction of a second to react to an impending rollover. The E-Class Cabriolet includes all of the safety features you’d expect for a Mercedes-Benz—like 11-way air bag protection—and you may choose to add active-safety technology like Evasive Steering Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function, Congestion Emergency Braking, and more.

Drive & Handling

You may choose rear-wheel drive or 4MATIC all-wheel drive for your E-Class Cabriolet, and in both cases, you’ll have a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 329 horsepower paired with a nine-speed automatic. The AMG option includes an enhanced 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo with EQ Boost and electric auxiliary compressor with 429 horsepower. This year’s model is five inches longer and nearly three inches wider than the previous model, and you’ll feel the difference in leg room and personal space.

Three driving modes are available for your driving convenience: DYNAMIC SELECT, the performance option; Sport mode, which offers more stiffness in the suspension and sharper shifting; and ECO for easier fuel-conscious driving. There's even a mode that allows you to create a driving experience all your own. In a shade over five seconds, you’ll be cruising to 60 miles per hour comfortably and smoothly.

Key Features

ATTENTION ASSIST

Mercedes-Benz is up to date with the latest driver-assist technology, including ATTENTION ASSIST®, the first system of its kind. ATTENTION ASSIST is your safety guardian when on the road and monitors your driving behavior. If it detects signs of fatigue behind the wheel, like a change in steering behaviors and tactical errors based on your normal behaviors, it issues an alert. This groundbreaking system monitors up to 70 driving parameters, measured on the patterns of the drivers themselves.

CAR-TO-X COMMUNICATION

Every new E-Class can automatically alert a central notification system of certain dangers, including wrong-way drivers, emergency vehicles approaching from behind or from the side, and even hazard lights. The vehicle “sees” potentially dangerous obstcles before they are perceived by the driver, and warns the driver and other road users. Ultimately, it obtains information from points outside the driver's field of vision, which is not the case with conventional sensors. With Car-to-X in-dash displays or announcements, the system can alert other drivers on the road, making it safer for all of us.

Alternative Options

If you're in the market for the pinnacle of convertible luxury, don't miss out on the S-Class Cabriolet, which also seats four comfortably with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine. If you like all of the features of the E-Class Cabriolet but would prefer a two-seater, try a Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster.
